2018 Rayburn P. Jones Memorial Trophy Recipient: Jay Heller

Rayburn P. Jones was a special NAIOP member who exemplified the spirit of sportsmanship and the love of golf. He was one of a few founding members of the NAIOP Golf Committee who planned and ran our tournaments for years. When Ray unexpectedly passed in 2002, an annual award, the Rayburn P. Jones Memorial Trophy, was created to honor his memory and the spirit and sportsmanship he represented.

Since 2002, the trophy has been awarded to those in NAIOP Southern Nevada who have exemplified the “spirit of the game”. The “spirit” of these recipients is unique to each and may represent service to the community, NAIOP, or the real estate industry. Each recipient has their name added to the perpetual trophy and it is awarded each year at the annual NAIOP Southern Nevada Golf Tournament.

The 2018 recipient, Jay Heller, epitomizes what the award represents. Jay, the 2017 NAIOP Southern Nevada President, has been a longtime real estate developer in Southern Nevada. During his tenure, he focused on government affairs efforts to help expand growth and development in Nevada. Jay has been a model NAIOP member and well deserved of this award!
