Community Service Committee Update – September

Thank you to the Membership Committee, Community Service Committee & Bowling Tournament attendees! Our raffle raised over $1,400 which will be distributed between a number of organizations that NAIOP assists. Thank you again!

The thank yous don’t stop there. We had another very successful clothing and tie drive for our ‘Knot Tied Down’ summer drive. Donations will benefit graduating students through the Communities In Schools organization that gives underprivileged kids business attire for graduation and job interviews.

Let’s not forget the abundant amount of school supplies collected at our August breakfast meeting supply drive. Wow…cash donations totaled $1000 and Howard Hollingsworth Elementary will be so grateful. Thank you to our committee members who helped tote the supplies from the meeting and to the school.

There are still opportunities to help as we approach fall. Join Team NAIOP in the Candlelighter’s 5K Superhero run on September 9th. Click here to register on line – set up an account & select NAIOP. $60 adults, $15 ages 4-12, 2 & under and dogs are free. Superhero attire encouraged!

In November, the Committee will hold a Thanksgiving Angel Basket food drive and basket assembly event. Contact me if you are interested in volunteering.

On Thursday, December 14th, we’ll hold our annual toy drive at the Members Only Holiday Lunch at the Four Seasons – save-the-date today to bring a new unwrapped toy.

Keep up the charitable work NAIOP, we couldn’t do this without you!
