St. Baldrick’s Foundation Fund Raiser 2016

On Saturday March 5, 2016 many NAIOP Southern Nevada members and member companies participated in a head shaving, fund raising event at McMullan’s Irish Pub for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation. The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a volunteer-powered charity committed to funding the most promising research to find cures for childhood cancers and give survivors long, healthy lives. The money is still being counted from Saturday’s event, but the total raised at this one event on one day in Las Vegas was over $500,000. In the 10 years that our group of developers, architects, and their associated employees, friends and neighbors have been involved, this one event has raised over $5 million for children’s cancer research! The development team, led by American Nevada’s Phil Ralston raised over $110,000 of this year’s $500,000 plus total. There was also a friendly rivalry between American Nevada and Thomas & Mack Development, who created their own team for the second year by their employees, including Rick Myers shaving his head this year for the first time and raised almost $20,000!
