DLI Class #1 Overview – Commercial Real Estate Overview

Students came prepared with their work assigned prior to the course which included reading a case study on T. Boone Pickens. The article discussed Pickens’ abilities in forward thinking and a keen awareness of his entire industry. By doing so, Pickens took over the market.

If you don’t know Rick Myers, you should! He kept the class engaged for hours while addressing the nuances of construction, architecture, product types, etc. Rick is knowledgeable about everything discussed and stressed the importance of staying relevant and up-to-date in the community.

The first DLI class was held October 16th at Cushman & Wakefield’s new office inside the Marnell buildings. The class was taught by Rick Myers of the Thomas & Mack Development Group, who gave an overview of commercial real estate and the different product types, construction types, and all things relevant to commercial real estate.

MDL Group sponsored the class and brought everyone a copy of The Five Dysfunctions of a Team, by Patrick Lencioni. Some students have already read the book cover to cover.  Thank you Hayim Mizrachi!
